Although the club year may be winding down, many social, educational, and philanthropic opportunities continue throughout the spring and summer.

The highlight of the year is our annual meeting is the scholarship luncheon on June 8, where we honor our 2024 scholarship recipients and new board of directors.

Our May 1 general meeting will have an interesting program, too.

Program: Presentation of CCW Scholarships Co-Chairs: Marilyn Sledz and Pat Schreiber

Menu Choices: Chicken Monterey (chicken breast, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, and Monterey jack cheese). Grilled Pork Loin with apple glaze. Vegetarian option is Penne Pasta with seasonal vegetables tossed in a light Alfredo sauce. All entrees include a Mandarin Salad, with lettuce, Mandarin oranges, red onion, strawberries and sesame seeds with a citrus vinaigrette, rolls and butter, and dessert. Dessert is Chocolate Shell Perfection. Beverages include coffee, tea, and iced tea. Gratuity is included.

Cost of the luncheon is $40. The luncheon is open to CCW members and guests. Payment is required for reservation.

Congratulations to Our 2023 Scholarship Recipients

College Club West is pleased to announce the 2023 Scholarship recipients. The club provides tuition grants for women aged twenty-five and older. The four winners will receive a total of $7,800 donated by members and friends towards tuition to complete a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Recpients are:

  • Marah Beach, pursuing a PhD in Agroforestry and Food Sustainability, Bangor University, Bangor, UK.
  • Arkia Drake, pursuing a PhD in Occupational Therapy specializing in Pediatrics, Cleveland State U.
  • Devon Dunson, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language, William Woods University, Fulton, Mo.
  • Evon Gaston, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Intervention Specialist, Cleveland State U.
